I didn't know ag was Mexican.

I can't decide if that improves my opinion of Mexico or lowers my opinion of ag.

Well he's a naturalized citizen. From what I gathered he's a Soviet-born Jew.

A Soviet-born Jew who moved to Mexico?

That's a rather unusual combination.

Plus apparentely he lived in New York for some time between that. That makes him possibly the only person in the world with that background, especially considering he moved FROM the United States TO Mexico.

I can't find where he says anything about being Jewish beyond having Slavic-Jewish ancestry, and being born in the USSR.

ag, if you end up reading this topic, can I ask why you chose to live in Mexico?

I didn't realize ag was Mexican either.  I thought this was one of those ironic match-ups; in this case somebody whose posts are all meaningful and worth reading, versus somebody whose posts... aren't.

I don't think it's quite as unusual as you guys seem to think ... though of course the *typical* countries for Russian-jewish emigrants to settle in are Germany and Israel, not Mexico.

He also spent some time in Australia, which creates the REAALY unusual sition of moving FROM Australia TO the United States Wink
