Also, until there's an equalization of figures across the rounds, can people stop sharing "final round" tallies that are leaving out 1/4+ of the vote?

Also notice that with the latest final round dump, Pete's lead is now just 1 point.

Even if Bernie wins he won't have time to give a victory speech tonight.

On the R side, Trump has 97% (with 70% reporting).

But I guess this was already posted ...

I saw on Fox Business that they're saying when the results DO come in it'll be in one huge heap. So I guess any moment now we'll know almost everything.

This is getting to be like the Alaska caucuses where after 18 hours of waiting you finally get results reported from the Innuit precincts.

Come on man.... surely you remember the 2016 DEM Cali Primary... Wink

The IA Dem Caucus is a complete disaster tonight.

How stupid are the people of the Iowa Democratic Party?

Bernie went from a 20 point lead to essentially a 5 way tie at this location:

How is the second part of that even possible?

Nothing is stopping him from giving a speech at 3 am. It's not like he'll be able to sleep anyway if he's as restless as this forum.

Some say, to this day, Bernie can still win.

The impatience of people here is more annoying than the actual delay. They weren't prepared for this data load, loosen up.

This is a preview of what administration by a far-left party looks like.  Total chaos, chickens running around with their heads cut off.  The loss of the Protestant work ethic.

Yes, if only we finally gave Episcopals in wine caves the chance to run the country.

Depending on how much of a mess tonight's caucuses are, I wonder if it'll result in the last of them being abolished.

In Iowa? Probably not. They are way too much of the culture and, dare I say it, even the quadrennial economy, to Politico and non politicos alike. The party organization which runs the caucus, from the state chairperson down to the local Precinct committee person, has to grade of vested interest in maintaining it. Not to mention there's that whole damnable tradition thing. The Iowa caucuses have been the s***  for 44 years now, and gives Iowa politicos disproportionate National influence over politics.

Yes, it is possible that the caucuses could sometime be such a gargantuan disaster, and tonight certainly smells like such a night, that Iowa decides to maintain its primacy by being the first Primary in the country instead of the first caucus. But that is going to create a party wide split when New Hampshire predictably goes absolutely ape sh**t over such a move.

Bottom line? No matter how much abolishing it maybe deserved, don't count on Iowa politicos giving up some control over a crucial part of the Electoral machinery for making a president, as well as nearly a half-century of tradition.

The real problem is the ridiculous "state delegate equivalent" system. The should follow the GOP and just go by the raw vote total, so much simpler and more democratic.

Iowa DNC just said they aren’t releasing any results officially yet for “quality control” with an “abundance of caution” and will give “no ETA”... this sounds fishy.

This makes me embarrassed to be a Dem.
You really should've already been embarrassed to be a Dem.

I'd be more embarrassed to be a socialist seeing as you have absolutely no power in the US and have dumbasses like AOC and Bernie leading your movement
Both are infinitely smarter than you because they actually see that there's something wrong with the system.

Sanders will still most likely win this thing. But now they also have their excuse to cry 'Rigged!' They'll have it both ways.

I had a post typed up, but I held it back for quality control for two hours. Then my computer crashed.
