Bernie and Warren both leading Buttigieg in first votes. But Buttigieg leads overall. Great work, caucuses.

From an observational standpoint, this is the worst caucus in my lifetime. It's not just the difficulty/delay in vote-counting (which given all the candidates, is understandable): it's also how virtually every single outlet isnt capable of presenting their data right (terrible entrance polls, inability to tally reported votes, etc).

I totally 100% agree. Every single person who was involved in any way for making results sites for anyone should all be mass fired.

It is pretty hard to follow what's going on so far going based off the websites/networks.

Caucuses are the dumbest thing in electoral politics. They are inefficient, much too long, and not practical for many working people.
They're a beautiful representation of American civic engagement and good old fashioned Athenian democracy! As long as Iowa supports the caucus, we should too and stop being so pretentious about it.

For those wondering why NYT has 1K more first votes than second votes, and why candidate ranking is weird, it is because for the past few hours we only had first/second results from satellites. Now some  in-state precincts are releasing first results, but not final results. There is a gap between the first and final in reporting time.

How many of these voters could even find Greece on a map?

That's how it's supposed to work.  It's like a run-off.

Warren beginning to look like a strong second on the first alignment, will be interesting to see how the second looks.

You know what, I'm actually fine with Pete winning. It practically means nothing because he's going to bomb in the south and it blasts a hole in Bernie's campaign.

Night we've all been looking towards for four years and we're just bickering about whether caucuses are good or not. It's amazing how on edge being anxious for more data can make you.

Breaking news:

Democratic style caucuses aren't designed for this many leading candidates to compete in.

This is why we have such a huge sh*tshow going on right now.

A Buttigieg win is no more than a vote for BLOOMBERG. Team #NeverB*rnie is in full force. Bloomberg vs. B*rnie for the soul of the Democratic Party.

Depends how Joe finishes in Iowa. Pete winning isn't the worst thing for Bernie at all.
