I'm legitimately curious. I was at a show last night and I could smell weed even when a Christian band was playing and I made a joke on Facebook about how fitting it was after Drug Church had played. And classical music seems like people would enjoy it stoned much like people like post-rock stoned. I've never been to such a concert though....so yeah is it common to smell weed at them?

No, not to any I’ve been to. Most concerts are indoors after all. It’s also a shame you’ve never been, considering that most of the greatest Christian music is from the renaissance and baroque eras.

I never thought of it, but now that you mentioned it, I am interested. If I had to guess, there would not really be any of that going on. I think that people would probably expect even a modicum of professionalism when handling concerts of this type

I'm assuming a small amount of the audience - say 0% to 2% absolute maximum, and usually 0% - smoke before they arrive or discreetly weed-vape very closeby beforehand. At the concert itself, of course not.

Lol no. I mean, I was at a Lindsey Stirling concert where some people had probably smoked weed, to the extent that violin=classical music.

No.

The minor key sad sections would be a big downer and freak them out.

nobody is toking up mid concert like you'll find at your typical rock/punk/hiphop/country/pop show, but I'd bet more than a few are on some edibles or hot boxed in the car before going in

I think.....I can't remember any exceptions at least...I"ve smelled weed at every concert I've been to.

No one lights up anything during a concert and you'd get thrown out if you did. As to what goes on during the interval, well, I'm quite sure that it has been known. Though the overwhelmingly dominant drug is alcohol.

Definitely not. In the concert hall where my youth orchestra plays, that would be a fire hazard.

I just remembered there's a scene where a father and daughter do drugs right before a classical music concert, in season one of Sense8 on Netflix.
