Staten Island is suburbia in a city.

Urban New York City has suburban feels, other than Douglaston/Little Neck/Bay Ridge, but what is your qualm with SI?

Mine? Too far out from the city and also the tolls. Too expensive.

For me, unlike most other parts of New York City, there is just no reason to go there. I already live in a suburb and that's essentially what Staten Island is to the rest of the boroughs. Also it takes the longest to get to from where I am.

Yes, I live in NJ, and it is too far to drive there as well.

Also, who wants to pay $19 for a Verrazzano fare?

The new Goethals is beautiful. I wish Eugenius Outerbridge had a bridge that beautiful.

My family says they wish they could throw the remaining trashy people in Brooklyn into Staten Island. The people who are giving us a bad name are spreading.

Why pay a toll? The ferry is free. And you can Let the River Run while you ride it.

Nothing

It’s the home of Joe, Q, Murr, Sal, and Joey Salads

I'll give it that. Though it should be noted that all of them, with the exception of Q I think, moved away from there.

I wouldn't say qualms, just grave misgivings.
