Atlas hates the suburbs. They only like Brooklyn and McDowell County WV. No in between.

It's convenient but in the big picture it's terrible, at least the big multinational corporate ones.

More economically feasible than traditional indoor shopping malls in inner-ring suburbs.

But still, HP.

I can't tell you how much I miss large, free parking lots.

I like Brooklyn and McDowell. But then again, I am a true Atlas Dem.

I love the American suburbia, closer to a city, but I don't like the big box shopping.

Who wants to drive 30 minutes to get milk?

Besides rural America, who has to do that?

Texas. Takes 20 mins to get anywhere....unless you live in Austin.

Besides rural America, who has to do that?

Horrible--not because I hate nice suburbs--but because I hate cars and buying things in person.

I could get milk at 3 or 4 different places (and not counting gas stations, which would triple that number, but double the price) in 30 minutes.

also, to smash salt in the wound, it's ~$2/gal too

I can't wait for the day I never have to visit a store again to buy anything. Amazon has already cut down on the wasteful number of trips I used to make to big-box hell only to find items that were not in stock.

Amazon needs a competitor which at this point seems unlikely because they've built such a moat around what they do.

FTFY Tongue

Driving to buy just 1-2 groceries is something that should not be a thing; people should have some sort of store within walking distance

Or, in a rural area, just do without until you're out of more than a few things and can justify a proper shopping trip.
