Sydney let a full Cruise Ship of people off after docking with 162 active COVID-19 cases who walked straight into the city and joined public transport, UBER, airlines etc. One was so sick, she was taken to hospital and died within 24 hrs. NSW Government and Health Department did nothing to prevent these people from coming onshore. No tests, no questions, nothing.

Some well to do young woman who contracted Corona-virus in Aspen, Colorado on a skiing holiday has come back to Australia, and rather than self-isolate, the 19yo woman has gone to a 21st birthday party and infected a further 6-7 other people.

All asymptomatic, they have then passed it on.

Nice that they can spare a test for a 55 year old middle manager with mild symptoms, but apparently don't have enough available for the NHS personnel at the front line.

Maybe his public boasting of shaking hands with "loads of people" barely a fortnight ago wasn't wise either? At the very least, it perhaps betrayed a lack of seriousness at that time.

The Austrian Interior Minister Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) has found a way to connect the Coronavirus and asylum seekers - and to keep them out of the country:

Under a new directive, asylum seekers are only allowed into the country any longer if they provide a medical certificate that they are healthy.

Because virtually no asylum seeker will have it, basically nobody can legally file an asylum request or enter the country.

Even if challenged in court, this would probably be upheld - because the epidemics law argues in favour of Nehammer's directive.

From what I've been hearing, we're expected to have a peak mid-April, but I can't cite a source.

Even when it peaks, it won't be over. We might be looking at July before we get back to 'normal'.
