This is why SN and Trump loves Bernie so much, since Bernie was losing to Trump in VA

i can understaand that, but Bernie is probably the only Democratic candidate who could theoretically lose Virginia, but still win by holding PA, MI, and/or WI, plus ALL of New England, including NH and ME-02.

Because it leaves Dems short of 270, if Dems flip WI, PA and MI 265 and VA was an R state during the Bush W years

Yes, Trump should spend millions trying to win VA, but shouldn't worry about MI or WI. He has those states in the bag.

Don't forget Hawaii.  Wouldn't that be a poke in the eye to Obama!

Virginia went heavily for Democrats in 2018 and 2019, I don't think Bernie winning the nomination would change it from D to R.

I mean, it's not impossible that Trump wins Virginia. People are underestimating Trump's chances against Biden (who is a buffoon). If people think the economy is doing well partly thanks to Trump, and they think Trump is a better President than they expected, why would they vote for Joe Biden (who can barely form a sentence)? If Biden's the nominee, I think there's a chance Trump wins the popular vote. If Trump wins the popular vote, he has a good shot at flipping VA.

Why is it with Republicans and wanting to win Virginia so badly?

It’s more of a symbolic thing based on the (incredibly dumb) assumption that the state only flipped from R-leaning to Solid D because of "moderate" neoliberal hawkish suburban white Bush/Clinton #NeverTrump type voters in NOVA, Virginia Beach, Richmond suburbs, etc. who are still Republicans at heart.

Well, that, and some people unironically think Clinton would have lost VA without Kaine. It’s certainly interesting that you don’t see them obsessing over winning Colorado, though. I guess VA really is to Republicans what WV is to some Democrats.

Yes VA is flippable! All the Clinton voters will abandon Democrats because of socialism and all the black voters of Richmond and Hampton Roads  will #walkaway. Trump should try to win in a huge landslide just to show those Demo-rats (hehehe get it?) that nobody likes socialism. America for Americans! Never socialism! Also people from NoVa will flip because Trump is pro military and there are a lot of military ppl there. Also he should try to flip Colorado. It is a true swing stage now for the same reasons and will flip easily. Trump can hold the others, he should expand his map. I say this as a former Democrat who #walked away from the socialist SJWs.

What does that mean: VA is to the GOP what WV is to Democrats. VA s heavy D and Rs still seek to win VA, but are there really any Democrats in office today that believe they can win WV--a state which hasn't voted Democratic for President since 1996.

Even if Bernie is the nominee, with a strong Veep like Bennet, Bernie is leading Trump in FL by 6. This will be a 2008 election after it's over. Dems always win landslide elections 1992, 1996 and 2008, 2016. NM has correctly picked the popular vote winner and OH has picked the EC vote winner since 1976. Consequently,  Trump will be prosecuted by D Justice Dept and go to jail

Crts already said Trump can be prosecuted and indicted as Prez

trump isn't winning the popular vote. Regardless if it's Biden or Bernie.
This is insane, and you are letting your anti-Biden sentiments cloud reality in your head.

Because "barely" is better than "can't" which is where Trump is now. (By the time November rolls around, Trump may not be able to form words.)

Sounds like he should pick Tim Kaine as his VP then
