If this doesn't convince the Senate to remove, nothing will.

It won’t.

It's not over: CNN reports ballistic missiles fired towards two bases in Iraq.

Can't imagine a scenario where the US doesn't respond militarily, whether it's tonight or in the near future.

Considering that most MSM stories are now ripped off from twitter accounts kind of makes this mute in this day and age.

Only post tweets/news from reporters and known news organizations, IMO. "The Spectator Index" for example is who knows what, and I am not seeing anything about these alleged explosions at least yet in any of those sources.

I don't support a war, but Iran poked the bear this time.

True. Rest assured Donald Trump is in the situation room with his Generals devising a response commensurate with his political and military experience.

Where? I am watching CNN and no mention of it. Also no mention of it on reporters' twitter.

Nope they started it all by attacking our embassy.

Why would Trump respond now when (as far as we know) no Americans were harmed as a result of Iran's recent rocket attacks?

A bunch of protestors affiliated with a militia threw some sticks and stones it’s way, come on now.

Was it ever directly proven to be Iran? Everything I've seen points to it being local militias with a tenuous connection to Iran at best. This whole thing feels more and more like a USS Maine situation as time goes on.

It was not directly Iranian forces, but they ordered it.

This may seem sacrilegious to say, but we should probably just "Take the L" on this one-the loss of any number of Americans is tragic, but this pales in comparison to the thousands of American troops and hundreds of thousands of Iranian Civilians that would die if a war were to break out, not to mention the region being a permanent hellscape producing terrorism and millions of refugees.

Geez, it's like 9/11 all over again, people just repeating baseless conjecture and rumors from Twitter.

I'm watching CNN and Fox News on two different channels.  Neither has reported any of these new strikes or threats.

Tucker Carlson spent half of his program trying to claim that "the establishment, Pelosi and Schumer, they want this war" and talking about how this is good for Trump and bad for the Democrats.  Glad Fox News has their priorities straight.

It's not sacrilegious.  They didn't even kill any American troops.  We can both rattle our sabers a lot for the next week and then let things dwindle down.

If Iran starts developing nuclear weapons in a hurry, though, we pretty much have no choice but to strike.  If Iran gets nukes, they'll use them on Israel, and it's WW3 in the Middle East, period.  Rock and a hard place.  Of course Iran could always be reasonable and not pursue a nuclear program, but since when have Iran/North Korea ever been reasonable.
