It's worth pointing out that in a single strike the U.S. committed the act of open war against not one, but two countries.

Trump has the most EFFICIENT warmongering!

The most tremendous, let me tell you.

That trump address to the nation was pathetic.
He sounded like a robot, as he continuously stared at the teleprompter, and read each word without emotion of any kind.

Boo hoo, we killed your terrorist general. Suck it.
This country cannot stand for another Vietnam, especially under these conditions. You won’t be so cocky when the body bags start piling up.
The same thing was said about the Republican Guard/Iraqi Army (4th largest in the world), yet they ended up getting slaughtered. If a war starts there will probably be mass desertions in the Iranian side, no sane person wants to die for the regime. All you have to do is kick in the door and the whole rotten structure will crumble to the ground.

How well did that exact statement (strategy) work, for the last Fascist Dictator who said it?

(Are you a American Nazi or what? You got to be ignorant to use this exact statement, that was made by Hitler in WWII, knowing it "blew-up" in Hitler's face. Yet you seem to use it, with some kind of kinky "pride.")

Here's an argument (thread) that the strike had a legitimate rationale to it

Still seems to me a harmful decision on net and Trump seems to be managing it the worst way possible.

--Iran is 4 times the size of Iraq, both in population and area.
--Iran has had considerably fewer sanctions in recent years than Iraq in the late 90's
--Iran is much more mountainous than Iraq
--There is no 'Peshmerga' style opposition in the country

It was amazing tactically but horrible strategically.

Neither of these sound particularly good...

1) Iraqi Sunni leader (not Shi'a!!!!!!!!!!!):

2) At least a certain subset of Iranians are apparently quite willing to die to hit back...:

His probably trolling at this point, but I'll indulge him and give a serious reply.

There's absolutely no comparison between Iraq and Iran. First off, and foremost, Iran's terrain is perfect for guerrilla warfare, and the large segment of the Iranian armed forces are specifically prepared for such an event. So yes, it wouldn't be an open, conventional warfare. And aside of the organized military resistance, the Iranian population is not going to look kindly upon being invaded and occupied, regardless of whether they support or oppose the regime itself. If you think otherwise, you're beyond delusional.

As of Iraq, it's army in 1991 (because back in 2003 it was but a broken shadow of its' former self) might've been very strong on paper, but the war with Iran in the 80s showed its' actual ineptitude, despite enjoying all the advantages.

This is the immaturity that has damaged our country and put it at risk. Who cares if this leads to war as long as it looks super duper cool like a movie, right?

People have been saying “America will start a war with Iran!!!1!” For like 15 years. I can probably find opinion pieces written in 2004 saying this. It’s a racket I’m sick of hearing.

The difference is that the U.S. did something Iran can't possibly ignore or try to mitigate. It's literally forcing them into a corner. While I don't believe in an open war breaking out, it'll have serious consequences, not comparable to anything that happened in the 2000s.

The population is a bit more than 2x larger, not 4x. But your overall point is of course quite correct and well founded.

There's no way she supports this on a personal level, considering her past. She knows about the tactics of the war machine, and their lies. She's just a shameless opportunist.

People can change, Irving Kristol was once a communist.
Maybe she has turned into a genuine centrist.

Relative to 2003 Iraq, I mean.

Broke: Talking about American soldiers dying and worrying about the draft.

Woke: Talking about Iranian and Iraqi civilians dying.

Is there some reason we can't be for no one dying for the sake of a sick traitor's ego?

She was a staunch opponent of the Iraq war... why must she sacrifice her values as if she's a democrat in Oklahoma?

Well there is a difference between an air strike and a full on invasion

I just heard that the leader of Iran was on the internet ordering Geraniums from Africa.

What?

It worked in 2003.

^^ No confirmation of this appears in any mainstream news outlets at least as of yet, so I would treat with skepticism until confirmed, the twitter sources seem fairly random (there are some alleged photos of the airstrike, but earlier alleged photos of earlier alleged airstrikes apparently were fakes).
