The question in the poll got cut off. Missing part underlined:

What if Trump went full Caligula? What if he announced that he would conquer North Korea, and then instead ordered the US military to collect seashells and bring them back to Washington DC as proof of his great military victory against Neptune? What if, he then declared himself to be a God?

You have 8 votes, 1 for each question:

Q1: Would evangelicals still support him?
Q2: What would Trump's approval rating be? Would he maintain the same support among the Republican base?
Q3: How would evangelical leaders react? Would they endorse Trump's Godhood?
Q4: How would rank-and-file evangelical react? Would they endorse Trump's Godhood?
Q5: Would evangelical theological doctrine be modified ("revealed") to endorse Trump's Godhood?
Q6: Would it all be worth it because of the judges?
Q7: Would Mormons react any differently from evangelicals, and would Trump still win Utah in 2020?
Q8: Would Trump be re-elected?

Fuzzy would point out that Democrats hold Haile Selassie in high esteem and therefore we are being insincere for criticizing Trump.

As long as he opposes abortion, it wouldn't matter.

Of course they would! Their hatred for those they see as their enemies takes priority over their so-called morals or principles. That's what makes them part of the Republican coalition. That's the uniting factor.

As long as he opposes abortion, it wouldn't matter.

As long as he promises to appoint conservative Supreme Court Justices who would overturn Roe v. Wade, it wouldn't matter.

An interesting thing about this thread is we have more people who think that Trump would lose Utah than think that he would lose re-election.

So what does this map look like in which Trump wins re-election but loses Utah?

The hell is a "WWC evangelical"? Aren't most evangelicals middle class?

White Working Class evangelical.

According to this:

https://www.pewforum.org/2015/05/12/americas-changing-religious-landscape/

1) 24% of "Evangelical Protestants" are non-white.
2) Only 21% of "Evangelical Protestants" have college degrees, which is below the national average. It seems like what people normally mean these days by "WWC" is often non-college whites, as opposed to referring to income necessarily.
3) 35% of Evangelical Protestants have incomes of less than $30k and 57% have incomes of less than $50k.

The prevalence of insane political paranoia, dominionism, and xenophobia also correlates very tightly with education level (negatively) and whiteness (positively).

Well, they do hold Haile Salassie in High Esteem, lol.

Seriously, if Trump declared himself to be God, it would send sheer terror through the hearts of many Evangelicals, particularly those who have subscribed to a Pre-Tribulation rapture.

There are people who are on the fringes of Evangelical Churches, and there are "Regular Churchgoers" who are not only believers in the theology of their church, but who actually have studied Scripture and bothered to apply it in their everyday lives.  These people know what they are doing when they support Trump, and they most certainly do not believe he is any sort or God, and many (rightly) doubt that he's Born Again.

Knowledgable Christians are not as naive about the politicians they support.  The day I rededicated my life to Christ (07/18/1993), I remember talking to my friend who nudged me to the Altar.  I remember telling him how my Mother would think I had lost my mind and joined the "Religious Right".  He said to me, "Don't join the "Religious Right"."  We then had a discussion about various political figures.  This guy, who was conservative, and politically saavy, made the comment for my learning and edificaiton:  "Rush Limbaugh is not a Believer."  (And he's not; he says things Believers can agree with, politically, but he doesn't present as Born Again, unless he's had a change of heart recently).
