Do you have to pay to get the full version (I'm too lazy to look it up)?

Congress Forever won't be released until the third quarter of 2006, so probably not until the end of the summer. Sad

Weren't primaries supposed to be added as an expansion to the original P4E, back in late 2004? Anyway, I'm definately going to buy the Congress Forever.

I know that the Primaries version took some time certainly, perhaps a year or more.

All the more. How could a small company manage to stay in business without releasing new products, especially when dealing with a cyclical subject matter like elections? What else do they have to do?

All they money they get from people buying P4E+P 2008, i guess, plus all their other products.

I hope there's a lot of improvements on the 2012 Version of P4E+P. I think they have said that they are including an option to make the winner of the popular vote the winner of the elections, so that will be cool. Exit Polls would be cool too, plus an option to zoom in on counties on election night and have more realistic projections instead of projecting by the difference in votes.

They had better. There are already 2012 scenarios for P4E+P 2008. New features would be a must to justify paying for a new game.

Bump.

The Beta release for pre-orders of Congress Forever 2010 is today (tomorrow for my American friends). The main release is April 25th. There's probably a few hours left to pre-order and try out the Beta version:

I haven't had much time to try it, but the Beta version is awesome.

I've been trying to play the beta. It's pretty cool and they've done a good job on the content, but there are a lot of bugs that have made it difficult for me to complete a single game before crashing. And you can't save or load...

Yeah, they mentioned that.  It will, I presume, be fixed for the final version.

So, I just got the game, and it's awesome.  Here's election night:

I played as the Democrats (of course), and if we have these results after the real election, it'll be a good night.

It seems good so far, but they need to fix the bug where you win 0 seats for high score purposes. I managed around 260 for the Dems in my first 2008 play through, but I got a "disastrous" rating on my game.
