Mark Green is one of the most partisan members of Congress.  Why would he show Cooper the map?

Green opposes 8-1 because he's annoyed that he no longer gets to represent the Republican donors in Williamson County

Then he can carpetbag to Williamson.

People are saying the new TN-05 is somewhere between high single digits and low double digits for Trump. This seat could be interesting by the end of the decade though depending on how trends go.

I'm still not entirely convinced that 8-1 will hold for the decade.

I doubt it will remain a safe R seat for the decade. At worst it could be like 2010s OH-01 where it comes close but never actually flips.
