In the current Republican Party Politicians like Hogan or Christie have no chance of winning the Republican Nomination. That is a FACT.

Pompeo, a former congressman from Kansas who served as CIA director and later as America’s top diplomat during former President Donald Trump’s administration, will be in Des Moines on Wednesday, as he is featured on an inaugural panel assembled by the newly created Bastion Institute.

The trip to Iowa – whose caucuses for half a century have kicked off the presidential nominating calendar – is Pompeo’s third over the past year. And the West Point graduate, who served as an Army officer stationed in Germany during the Cold War, returns to the Hawkeye State next month (March 11) to headline an Iowa GOP fundraiser in Davenport, which is located along the Mississippi River in the eastern part of the state.

Fox News has also learned that Pompeo will head back to Iowa again in April for events in the western part of the state.

Meanwhile, Politico also notes the large amount of $ that was spent by prospective 2024 GOP candidates last year on email list building and online fundraising, including several who aren’t up for reelection this year…most notably Cruz:

The prime example is Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), whose campaign committee spent a whopping $13.6 million overall in 2021 — more than almost every senator running for reelection in 2022, even though Cruz’s seat isn’t up for two more years. At least $3.3 million of that went into digital services, while Sen. Josh Hawley’s (R-Mo.) campaign spent $1.7 million online last year. Two PACs started by contenders currently out of office, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, spent $2.4 million and $1.4 million online, respectively.

And hanging over everything is former President Donald Trump, whose Save America political operation spent $6.4 million on digital politicking in 2021, including $2.8 million on ads, according to data shared by Bully Pulpit Interactive, a Democratic firm that tracks these expenditures.

“Anyone who’s serious about running for president in 2024 has already begun building a campaign behind the scenes, and the foundation of a good campaign is a big database of supporters,” said Alex Conant, a Republican consultant who worked on Marco Rubio’s 2016 presidential bid. “You can’t wait until you launch your campaign to build an online donor base.”

Rick Scott's CPAC speech seems to indicate to me that he's looking to run for President in 2024.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) defended his proposed outline for what Republicans should do if they recapture control of the Senate this year, bucking critics on both sides of the aisle who have knocked the plan since its release earlier this week.

Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando on Saturday, Scott delivered a tirade against what he described as a “woke” society, saying that Republicans should not be “timid” in their approach to the 2022 midterm elections.

“Based on the way Democrats are attacking me this week, I say we hit the bull's-eye,” Scott, the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, said. “The fight to rescue America from socialism is our fight.”

Scott’s remarks came days after he released a 31-page memo detailing his vision for the Republican agenda should the GOP take back control of the Senate in this year’s midterm elections.

The proposals include making every American pay at least some income tax and completing former construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border and naming it after former President Trump.

But Scott, who’s seen as a possible 2024 presidential hopeful or contender for the role of Senate Republican leader, has sought to stake out a reputation as a conservative leader, bypassing the likes of current Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) by introducing a governing agenda.

Trump wins the CPAC Straw Poll, and in fact does better than he did last year.

At the annual gathering of conservatives in Orlando, former President Donald Trump delivered his strongest signal yet he plans to run for president again in 2024 — and if he does — a straw poll shows he has the support of a majority of Conservative Political Action Conference attendees.

Trump won 59 percent support from attendees when asked their preference of potential 2024 presidential candidates, according to results released Sunday.

“So much for him fading,” pollster Jim McLaughlin said from the stage as he announced the results, noting that Trump had gained 4 percentage points since last year’s CPAC straw poll in Orlando.
