If you go online, any Democrat not called Bernie Sanders is getting absolutely slaughtered.

Far left strawman Kyle Kulinksi (Sean Hannity on the left) has done videos on Amy Klobuchar, Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg  calling on them to be kicked out of the Democratic Party because they all talk republican talking points about how Medicare for all will never become law. Krystal Ball does the same smear campaigns on a daily basis where even democratic strategists were like ‘seriously Krystal you need to lower the hatred’. The young Turks are a money making machine to pander to Pipe dreams. They opening my hate the Democratic Party and want to burn it all down. If they could primary every democrat that isn’t Bernie sanders they would.

What’s clear from these constant attacks is that Bernies existence is great for Trump. His supporters will do anything to destroy any democratic candidate that doesn’t adhere to Sanders doctrine.

What I don’t understand is that Bernie isn’t a Democrat and shouldn’t be allowed in the Democratic Party to be its nominee because his supporters don’t like anything about the party.

Trump and the GOP just need to let Bernies surrogates do the dirty work.

The Hill's "Rising" is Fox & Friends for Bernie Sanders. I have no idea what their commentary is even going to be once he drops out.

The Crts are gonna go after Trump's tax liability after Trump leaves office, he will have to pay all of that money back; subsequently,  Bernie who opposes filibuster and CRT packing isnt winning the nomination

They will talk about how the Democratic Party is corrupt and rigged the primary and Trump was re-elected because the party wouldn’t let a socialist be the nominee. The false narratives they create and smearing is great for the RNC.

From what I've observed, his online supporters, big and small in following, seem to come in four varieties:

1. The Ridiculous Cheerleaders - Aka, the ones the OP is mainly focused on. Folks who make their money generally via catering to the audience of Sanders supporters. Until those supporters abandon him, they'll keep it up to keep the gravy train rolling.

2. Purity Socialists - The folks who seek the good of a leftward move in America (and not just to the 'left' in America that's right wing compared to everywhere else, like, actual left) and who find any alternative insufficient, and whom would actually like someone more left than Sanders to be in his position. I give them props for their devotion to the cause at the core, but they tend to be terrible about the cause as a totality of one's actions. I've seen more than a few ridiculous claims being made by this group and the supporting of just straight up awful people all in the name of 'if it helps the left, its justified'.

3. Cynical Leftists - Those who like Sanders and his positions generally, might lean further, might not, but it doesn't super matter because they see the other three groups as a massive detriment to the Sanders campaign and the movement as a whole, and who are skeptical of Sanders as the One True Savior which is being demanded by the other supporters. The 'done with your crap' wing in essence. They're out there, but not often popular because they're not sufficiently yes men which the other groups like to support.

4. Anti-Establishment 'Left' - Smallest in reach and notoriety of the lot on individual levels, but the most numerous as well. They only kinda care about the ideas of the man, they're more here to hold up communist flags and to give the finger to the 'the establishment'. For what ever definition of 'the establishment' happens to be relevant at that particular moment. Most likely to move into the #1 group but also tend to be the folks most curious about Gabbard and Yang. Because for these folks, it is not about actually doing anything with power, its keeping 'the establishment' from power, maaaaannnn.

5. Everybody Else - Aka, the non-media sorts who are actual real voters with a few twitter followers, so count under some definitions.

Yes, but as I see you're new to the forum, I'll warn you that this board is full of people who listen to this stuff 24/7 and will try to bully you out of the room for calling it what it is.

Not as much as 2016. Between Sanders running a less divisive campaign this time, and Warren being a likely back-up candidate if Sanders fizzles out during primary season, I don't think they're as volatile as last time...for the most part. Obviously on this forum we do have jfern and Shadows, who still cling to that negative, "burn it all down," mentality when it comes to the Democratic primary. So there are probably some of them still out there. Gabbard and Yang's supporters have kind of filled that void this time, though I don't think there are nearly as many of them combined compared to Sanders' online 2016 support.

I expect that if Biden gets nominated though that they will go back undermining him and the Democratic Primary as a whole. Admittedly though, I'd be at least slightly more sympathetic to them this time-I don't have much hope for Biden defeating Trump, though I will support him (and any other nominee) no matter what.

Jfern and Shadows embarrass me as a Sanders supporter.

The answer to your question is undoubtedly yes. Just as it was in 2016.

Pointing out Clinton is awful does not equal supporting Trump.

Reminder of Clinton's horrid politics;

- Supporting the Iraq War
- Supporting Drone Strikes that kill civilians and devastate the Middle East
- Supporting Saudi Arabia
- Support for military coup in Honduras against leftist government
- US intervention in elections in Haiti against leftist party
- Support for Deregulation/Opposition to reinstating glass-steegal
- Support for bailing out the big banks
- Advocating Military Intervention in Libya

Even if we accept that all these are truly horrible policies (and some aren't) the problem with Berniecrats is that they embraced unequivocally every anti-Clinton conspiracy theory coming out of Fox News and Breitbart and did everything they could to disseminate them among Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters.
They also propped up, and even endorsed,  crackpot Putin stooge Jill Stein and encouraged people to stay home because "there is no difference between Clinton and Trump", or even better "Clinton is worse than Trump".

Never heard this argument before, lol. Anyway, I'd say that any Democrats who spend more time bashing a Democratic candidate than Trump are helping him in a way.

Nah, the #KHive is worse.  If you don't worship at and partake of the sacraments of the Church of Kamala, you're guilty of "misogynoir."

Do y'all remember H.A.Goodman? The supposedly "left wing" freelance writer for a number of outlets who campaigned hard for Bernie in 2016 and had a big pro-Bernie Youtube channel. He boardcastet every rightwing Clinton conspiracy theory and lo and behold, as soon as the general election came around, he campaigned for Trump. These days he is still campaigning for Trump and is arguing that "Berniecrats" should support Trump in 2020. Yeah, those are the kind of people we are talking about here.

At least he has shown his true colors. Some others, like Greenwald and the Intercept crowd, are still posing as progressives.

Bernie has a heart murmur and traveling makes it worse. These candidates go to different states and travel all the time and the vulnerable gets sick. I am hearing from people Bernie needs to retire, if he doesnt win nomination,  but that's up to him.

If he wasn't sick, he would stand a much better chance

Biggest asset all categories, probably not. But yeah they're a huge help by lending credibility to Trumpist propaganda in leftwing circles.

For exampe, I've seen numerous claims that Warren represents Wall Street against Bernie. This goes as far as people claiming that Bloomberg running is part of the Wall Street conspiracy to get Warren elected because obviously a Warren presidency is the first choice of US billionaires.
