Suozzi's having massive problems keeping his own house in Nassau County in order, let alone running against our glorious future Governor, Eliot Spitzer Smiley

I woulnd't say two renegade Legislatures teaming with the GOP creating some problems is Massive Problems (for a new  County Presiding Office).  Its something Suozzi has little control over.

He just won re-election against a well known, well funded challenger by 21 points & the Dems pretty much have absolute control in the County govern, met (Legislature squabbble is ccausing some issues, but its seperate froM Suozzi)

This is old news.

If Suozzi had any brain in his head, he'd either keep his current job or run against Peter King in NY-03.

In regards to BRTD's comments Suozzi is not a DINO, the absolute horrific campaign the GOP & PBA put up against him last year shows he is far from a DINO.  The way he has cleaned up the horrific mess the previous GOP administration put together shows he isn't a DINO.  Suozzi tends to agree with the Dems on the vast majority of issues, and constantly blasts the GOP, but he is not afraid to take on his own party when he disagrees.   I would probably vote for Spitzer in a Primay,(though I would say it is only lean Spizer at this point) but I really like Suozzi and he has done an amazing job in turning around Nassau County

As far as him running against Peter King.  That is what I wanted from the start & he would absolutley crush the ile of garbage that is Peter KKing.  At this point it seems one of Suozzi's closest allies Nassau Legislature Dave Mejias (who is my county Legislator) is likley to take on King.

If Suozzi has a clue, he'll run against King for Congress instead.

As I stated above I think he should & he would win if he ran.  Now it looks like Mejias will run for King's seat.

Suozzi's problem stems from his aarogance, that he thinks he can always win.  A big part of that stems from 2001, when Suozzi scored a huge upset over Democrat (State Sen or Assembly forget which) Thomas DiNapoli who had the backing of pretty much everyone in the Democratic  party (in the county, LI & state).  No one expected Suozzi to pull off that huge upset in the Primary other than Suozzi himself, which might be why he thinks he can win again when the odds are stacked against him.
