Given how many times I've seen a message declaring, "Liberals think x," or, "Conservatives want y," I'm curious what the exact breakdown is.
The bracketed bits refer to your own ideology, not the opposite ideology that you're referring to. If you identify first and foremost as either a communitarian or a libertarian, go with whichever side is most prominent (e.g., if you're a libertarian, but feel more economically conservative than socially liberal, go with "conservative"; if you're a communitarian, but feel more economically liberal than socially conservative, go with "liberal"). If you honestly cannot identify as either a liberal or as a conservative, go with the last option.
