Yes, for the most part. I would not accept free-trade with the socialist looney states in South America (like Venezuela), but they're generally opposed to the FTAA anyways Tongue.

No, since free trade agreements between nations on an unequal level almost always result in less economically developed states losing out. That's what is contributing to this surge of left-wing leaders in South America. Now, agreements between nations on a similar level of development such as the EU create more prosperity.
