I'm pro-life, support free trade, pro-gun, support the patriot act, supported the war(on humanitarian grounds), and I believe in small government, privatisation, and de-regulation.

Gay marriage, the death penalty, affirmative action, I'm pro-union, anti-religious right, anti-censorship, and I support the legalisation of pot and prostitution. I'm also in favour of pretty much open border immigration

I am against Affirmative Action (The Democrats aren't)

I am very pro-choice, but I wouldn't have a problem if Roe v. Wade was overturned, and was decided at the state level.

I have mixed feelings about free trade, I'm not sure where the party stands on this. Clinton was for it but not everyone is.

It depends on how you define multi-culturalism.

I define it as politically correct bitching in the educational system, tolerating Islam(if islamic nations won't tolerate christians or jews why should we tolerate muslims?), refusal to keep secure borders in the nameo f PC, allowing in refugees, refusal to assimilate immigrants and the feds giving money in the name of PC to groups like black nationalists, aztlanistas and AIM.

I’m against affirmative action, I’m a moderate on gun control, and to some extent I’m more pro-life than most Democrats (although I’m still a firm believer in abortion rights).

The better question is on what issues do I not buck the party line....

I will answer this one regardless, though:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Farm Subsidies -favor gradual elimination, beginning with corporate conglomerates.

Social Security -favor introducing private retirement accounts

Medicare -favor health savings accounts and the Medicare Advantage Section C that allows senior citizens to choose among various private plans for their health coverage.

Welfare -support welfare reform law passed in 1996

Medicaid -support allocation to states in the form of block grants in the same manner accorded to welfare subsidies.

Education -support school vouchers, charter schools, de-unionizing the teaching profession, and Bush's No Child Left Behind law (though with full -as opposed to partial- funding).

Environment -support expanding nuclear power.  On all other matters related to this issue, I am with the Democrats, though.

Abortion -favor overturning Roe vs. Wade, and leaving it to the states

Gay Marriage -favor letting the states decide the issue as they see fit

Affirmative Action -oppose race and/or ethnic-based preferences in hiring and college admissions

Immigration -will only support amnesty once the border is secured.

Gun-Rights -oppose most forms of gun control except for background checks.  Favor the individualist interpretation of the Second Amendment.

There are a lot of issues where I don't believe my party goes far enough (gay marriage, universal healthcare, a variety of economic issues), but I don't think I seriously buck the party line on anything. I don't care about gun control, I guess, and I think political correctness and nanny statism are stupid.

I'm going add to my list:

Affirmative action.  I believe that under a certain set of circumstances, where a specific entity has a past history of discrimination, it is acceptable to remedy that by affirmative action programs.  It's very qualified support.

The only issue I don't agree with the LP on is free trade. I favor tariffs on imports and reducing taxes correspondingly on domestic suppliers. My feeling is; why should we tax the shorts off our own manufacturers and give the imports a free ride. That's like reverse protectionism.
