Oh I got it from a post of Hawkeye's:

God made Hell because if there was no such thing we would all do whatever sinful pleasure we wanted- such as the atheist opebo.

Don't worry, it won't last long!

While we're on the subject, what does 'opebo' actually mean?  It's been bugging me for some time.

It's been bugging everyone.  My theory is that it has something to do with ephebophilia, a condition in which an adult is attracted to adolescents.

That's the pronounciation I use too.

Anyway I think opebo consists of a mix of his initials and maybe other letters randomly thrown in.

I like how you can rotate 'opebo' 180 degrees and all but the 'e' will be the same. Tongue

No, it would be oqedo. I pronounce it as o-pe (as in penny)-bo.

I say it that way too (though I have wondered if it's oh-pay-boh).  I did PM him once about it, and no response.  There is a Professor Opebo at Texas A&M though.

I'm not sure if there really is a correct pronunciation, since the name has only been used in a text-based environment.  However, those of you who mentally 'pronounce', or imagine pronouncing, the name as oh-PEE-boe are most in agreement with my own internal monologue, though I have often thought of oh-PAY-boe or oh-pey-boh as well, and oven oh-pee-BOE!

By the way, I wasn't aware of this Professor Opebo, and for his sake would like to stress that I am not him.  He is not me, whatever.  I hope he doesn't sue me!

It comes up if you google opebo texas A&M but it looks like it might just be random characters thrown together.
