Maybe the Midwest should secede. Twice in a row we're the odd region out. Grin

Well, it looks like, once again, the Midwest is vastly out of step with the rest of the country. Tongue

Damn straight!  Refuge of the freedom fighters

The freedom side of this issue is with the pro-secret ballot side. We want the freedom to keep our vote semi-private, and with the other freedoms we allow with voting in Atlasia, the anti-secret ballot crowd is clearly denying us this freedom.

Well said, Governor. Its a shame we didnt get that point across effectively enough, and the result ended up grim. I suppose the burden of loss of this amendment and this freedom falls on our own shoulders.

With all due respect, this issue is not about freedom, but procedure. People who oppose secret balloting are not denying freedom, just like people who oppose preferential voting are not denying freedom.

This "freedom" requires the creation of more government bureaucracy and the potential for delay and fraud. Since this is a game, rather than real-life, I don't think that the costs are worth the benefit.

And you would be denying the general public the freedom of seeing all of the result appear before their eyes.
