This is not as far fetched as some of you people make it sound like. Not the most likely ticket, no, but far from unthinkable. If Biden wants to use his VP pick to reach out to voters that he doesn't immediately appeal to, Yang is not such an awful choice and he certainly seems like the kind of person that would be easier to manage than someone like Sanders or Warren (not that they would accept being Biden's VP anyway). Also, I don't think it is a given that Biden's VP pick has to be a woman.

Yang has a +22% positive favorability with undecided general election voters. Biden only has a +7% with the same voters, Buttigieg even worse at only +2%. All other 15-16 Democratic candidates running have a negative favorability with undecided general election voters. Any ticket with Yang on it would be an absolute landslide, and we all know it, if we're just honest to ourselves.

If I were Biden and won the nomination I think the best choice would be Harris.  She balances out the ticket in a lot of ways and they're not very ideologically dissimilar.  This is the only ticket I would consider the overwhelming favorite to beat Trump because I think they would be heavily favored in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and probably put North Carolina and Georgia in serious contention.

NEWS FLASH: Senator Harris is absolutely detested in every single one of the the states you suggested she could be popular.

Wow, I guess 4 out of 5 of those states were willing to overlook their deep hatred of her.
