I don't think the 'as a VP' is fully justified by the clip. Also if Yang actually believes that, he's a bigger fool than I thought. Which... is kinda a feat.

I wouldn't be surprised if in the cases of all these people Biden has been rumored to "offer" a VP slot to -- Abrams, O'Rourke, now Yang -- he just said something off-handed, perhaps even just as a joke, about how they're great and maybe they would make a great running mate for him.

I doubt any were ever serious offers.

There is an approximately zero percent chance of this happening, barring a sudden gender reassignment surgery for Yang

Maybe the 'discussion' went like this; Yang "Can I be VP?" Biden "Nope".

I'd imagine it was Biden being polite. But Yang has done pretty well in this race in terms of getting public discussion of his big ideas.

Maybe the 'discussion' went like this; Yang "Can I be VP?" Biden "Nope".
Probably more like.

Biden: Of course you'd be under consideration.

I'm sure he just means they've talked about working together in the abstract in the hypothetical new Democratic administration. I don't think the "[as a VP]" is strongly implied here at all.

Biden/Yang would be an interesting ticket-to be sure.
I would still like Biden/Masto if we have to have a Democrat ticket in the White House.

I feel like Yang would lose some of his diehard support for "selling out" if this is the case

The nomination isnt over yet, just like the Warren-Castro ticket was premature, so is the Biden/Yang

I'm pretty sure he's not the only one in the field who has heard "VP" come out of Biden's mouth in a conversation.

If I were Biden and won the nomination I think the best choice would be Harris.  She balances out the ticket in a lot of ways and they're not very ideologically dissimilar.  This is the only ticket I would consider the overwhelming favorite to beat Trump because I think they would be heavily favored in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and probably put North Carolina and Georgia in serious contention.

I would laugh at a Yang/Biden ticket: Yep, Joe's right where he belongs on this one.

This is not as far fetched as some of you people make it sound like. Not the most likely ticket, no, but far from unthinkable. If Biden wants to use his VP pick to reach out to voters that he doesn't immediately appeal to, Yang is not such an awful choice and he certainly seems like the kind of person that would be easier to manage than someone like Sanders or Warren (not that they would accept being Biden's VP anyway). Also, I don't think it is a given that Biden's VP pick has to be a woman.

NEWS FLASH: Senator Harris is absolutely detested in every single one of the the states you suggested she could be popular.
