Taking a lot of pleasure in seeing a number of clips from the old show on YouTube. Somethings I appreciate now more than when I was a kid. That clip where Spongebob and Patrick think Squidward is dead and tell him to "get in" the coffin is one of the most hilarious things I have ever seen.

It's like The Simpsons, it was a classic because it did a ridiculously good job of capturing the times...but those times have long ended, first into offense and insult...and then...to nothingness. It has been nothingness for much longer than it was a classic, but boy were the classical days good.

Freedom series! I have a lot of nostalgia for it, and when I've caught some re-runs they still manage to hold up. However, I haven't watched a new episode of the show since 2005, so from what I've heard it has actually declined a bit in quality, unfortunately.

It is an acceptable children's show and I watched it from the premier up until 2004-ish.

It is in no way histrionically notable or superb television; y'all are simply letting nostalgia color your perceptions of a very run-of-the-mill cartoon series.

Trying to push kids to a Ryanomics political mindset ever sinces its debut = Horrible Show.

Please elaborate.

He thinks he's being clever inserting Ryanomics as a synonym for capitalism in decay. Indoctrinating viewers to love low wage labor for the wage and the greedy capital owner without any conflict. The antagonist is competition that must be shut down. The thing is, if the goal was to indoctrinate, it was clearly unsuccessful given the politics of the generation that watched it and how pervasive it was.

Maybe, it can be interpreted the other way? That the silliness of this boss-employee relationship is there for comedic effect that non literalists can understand unlike solid.

That aside, there is a real problem with you if you can't appreciate culture because you disagree with it. Chapo had a good bit on people being unable to comprehend protagonist as anything beyond 'good guy I can relate to' last week. Buttigieg has rightfully been laughed at for saying he couldn't get into Succession because none of the characters are good people.

The cartoon, which is supposedly for kids, is seriously perverted and in a blatant way. If you didn't include the show's intro, the show still showed the main character's underwear in, what, like every other episode. There are other ways that the show is perverted, but I'm not going to get into it. I had a younger brother that watched it very often.

the show up to and including the movie is literally some of the greatest television ever made. So obvious FS, even taking into account the absolutely terrible seasons that followed the movie

I agree with Del Tachi, though I admit I still get a laugh from it. I love that my eight and six year old cousins are as into it as my brothers and I were. The scene where Mr. Krabs and Spongebob go on a panty raid that turns out to be Mr. Krab's moms house is classic. I still laugh as hard as I did when I was eight whenever I think about it.

Well, as you pointed out, I would say that it's earliest few seasons still hold up. I've watched some episodes from them recently and still laugh. It isn't entirely nostalgia.
