I don't have any Atlas tropes but my father is apparently convinced that the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett will give Trump a boost with Catholics and he seems to think that Trump will improve on his 2016 numbers with them and I get the feeling that this won't age well at all.

Is he aware Biden is also Catholic?

He is aware of that. He is also 1. not completely aware of how trends work 2. basically a Catho-Trumpist when it comes to American politics.

"Likely R in a Biden midterm"

You guys are going to look like fools, if you don't already.

Does the take refer to the Senate, the House, or something else?

Both, and you see it all over the place. I can't take anyone who says something like that seriously. It's indicative of such a lazy, rudimentary understanding of elections.

The Democrats are blasting Christopher Columbus and this could hurt them among Italian Americans. Chris Cuomo was mocked when he said anti-Italian American discrimination is wrong.

As an Italian American this is rubbish.

"Raphael Warnock is a trash-tier candidate who should drop out and endorse Matt Lieberman because he isn't running ads nine years before election day."

I'll start: Texas will be competitive. (I hope this one is correct, but it's probably gonna look silly.)

What does "competitive" mean?  I think the Republican MOV in Texas will be right around 5%.  Does that count as competitive?

Anyway, I think Georgia will be the closest state, but current consensus seems to be that Trump will win it easily.

Spot on.

Sadly the skip means we missed the arrogant Red Wave™ predictions in 2022.

Here's another shortlist:
- that Trump actually has a prayer of winning the general election 2024
- that Ohio might actually still elect a Democrat in today's age
- that Alaska is inflexibly Republican at the presidential level

and more topically:
- that a democracy that jails its past flagbearers for criminal activity will tear itself apart (Brazil has now proven it can come back from it)
- that Twitter was ever TBTF
