You mean he doesn’t do anything that does nothing immediately for himself?

Why does he care what they think? They do what they’re told. That’s why they are silent. They like him and not because he is like them or cares what they think. They like him because they are looking for someone to follow. Someone asking to lead them just makes them angry and confused. I’m not dumping on a “majority of the majority “ of the country. At least not right now. What I am saying is that some people assume that society needs lifelong individual performers to just carry things out at the personal level and not slow things down by getting in the way. They’re  not even mostly wrong. Most of those people hold themselves out as those people.
