Asking for a friend btw, AND this is PURELY hypothetical!

Let's assume that this pregnancy was not planned for and it happened out of wedlock. Let's also assume that you're on decent (but not stellar) terms with the impregnee.

Hmmm... Go tell Atlas I was looking for a friend, it’s hypothetical, and then (for some reason unknown to humanity) trust the users here to give me good advice.

I mean if my fiancee and I got pregnant right now, we would definitely be getting married ASAP, like most likely before the end of the week. I guess we'd also have to figure out a place to move since we live with roommates right now and wouldn't have a room for the baby, and we'd have to buy a bunch of stuff for it so bye bye savings but we'd find a way to make it work.

But honestly I'd be like, so happy.

I mean, I wouldn't try to the pressure her to have or not have an abortion if that's what the question was asking. If she wanted to keep the kid, I'd be there as a dad and try to make it work as best I could, even if it doesn't become a marriage (as the "not stellar" in the question implies). If she didn't, I'd be there to give emotional support if needed and would try my best to put it all behind us.

Well i’m currently living with my fiancée so this is a scenario that i’ve thought about pretty heavily. I think she and I are ready on all fronts except financially, which is what’s stopping us.

As for someone i’m on okay terms with, but don’t really know well...i’d be terrified.

I'd insist on joint custody.

Unrealistic question because I'm saving myself for marriage.  But, I would encourage everyone to keep the child or put him/her up for adoption in that situation.

I'd be surprised, both that I've had sex (provided it's not a Jane the Virgin situation) and that I'm still cooking, so-to-speak. I'd probably store some sperm just so I have some before I'm completely sterile, and while doing the mother and the baby a favor and flushing it out would be the best for all involved, I don't think I'd have the guts, so we'd share custody and the kid would grow up even more mentally unstable than yours truly because I'm one of their moms.

File rape charges immediately. I would never consent to sexual intercourse, both because I find the potential consequences like this to be undesirable, and because quite frankly, I find the concept of sex to be disgusting.

Suggest to the girl to give up the child for adoption. It's too early. I'm weeks short of my 20th birthday and obviously not married.

My daughter would have a sibling.

For the sake of the hypothetical, if it were not with my wife (~0% chance), I'd have to admit it to her, and we'd discuss whether or not to adopt the outside child or see if my brother-in-law were interested in adopting (his wife had to have a premature hysterectomy).

This but if I ever actually committed fornication and got a girl pregnant I would marry her and raise our child.

I don’t know...it’d depend who it was...probably ask if she got a prescription for mifepristone yet since as a gay it would have to be a close girl friend of mine and I know them and they know me well enough that any progeny of ours would probably be horribly mismatched in the genes dept and be truly terrible at life but super duper extra d duper aware of it.

Ah, that makes sense. I'm terrified to know what Plan D would be then.

That's why I keep a suitcase and passport packed in the trunk at all times.
