Why is Facebook so conservative and Twitter so liberal?

If you read the comment section of any article on Facebook, it’s full of all-caps, punctuation-free conservative drivel. Twitter has become the mouthpiece for the Democratic base. Why are the two social media platforms os different?

A lot of younger people are only on facebook to stay in touch with family,  at least from my experience.   They aren't all that active on the platform.

They've ditched Facebook for Instagram & Snapchat over the last 5 years. I'd break it down as:

Right-leaning:  Facebook
Moderate:        Twitter
Left-leaning:    Instagram
Solid left:         Snapchat

You haven't called for anyone to be jailed and Smiling John's signature is an overthought concept in general, but to be fair to him, you do do a lot of quixotic fulminating at things like Russian art museums and St. Patrick's Day celebrations for being culturally associated with your political enemies.

I seem to have misremembered; it was "People I disagree with should have their personal information posted on the internet with the hopes that others will perform violent acts against them."
