It was only a matter of time. He's the Chris Christie of this election cycle, hyped up to run and win since the last election, but then become a bottom feeder.

Booker would be a horrible vp candidate. He's Fake, nerdy and is a picture of what republicans paint as an "elitist". Sad our country doesn't want an intelligent person in office but it is what it is

The cynic in me doesn’t quite buy this. Is his campaign actually about to end, or is this just a ploy to drum up more donations as the quarter ends by making the situation sound as dire as possible?

Yeah, he's probably trolling for money.

Booker hasnt reached out to any white leaders, as I said earlier that are sympathetic towards black causes: Van Hollan or Joe Kennedy
Kamala Harris has Gavin Newsom, but hides from the homeless issue

Its best, to have Warren pick Beto as our ticket. It would be good to put Trump on defense in AZ, TX and FL.  Blacks are galvanized around the Dems and arent swing like Latinos are in certain states

Booker's been running behind the big candidates on fundraiser for a while now--I don't think this is a ploy for attention.

He also has the obvious fallback of his Senate seat, so it wouldn't be that surprising for him to drop out on October 1st or whenever and transition to his Senate campaign

He has likely secured an appointment promise from somebody in the field who he will endorse later down the line.

So much for all those reports of his brilliant ground organization.

Very much doubt it; a job promise this early on is completely worthless. I’m sure every campaign will make noises about his ‘great future’ etc but I can’t see it being that explicit.

The problem with the Obama Presidency, he did what an ordinary Democrat would do. He didnt make major improvements in the welfare of blacks, due to the Great Recession. As a result, Harris and Booker are out of luck. Obama, Booker and Harris are wealthy Dems, that also get funding from wallstreet.

Booker's time was 2016. When Kamala became Senator, it made Booker a non-factor. Booker didn't have an authenticity problem until recently. I actually liked him because of what he did for criminal justice reform and his bipartisan work with Rand. But he's definitely a former shell of himself. He doesn't have another chance at being president.

I feel Booker is probably the strongest non-top tier candidate.

Booker would be the first candidate who has made all the debates so far to drop out.  An interesting situation in that I have to think that Amy Klobuchar and Julian Castro aren't in any better position.  Amy Klobuchar was at 3% in the gold standard Iowa poll and Iowa is directly south of Minnesota.  Her continued candidacy doesn't seem to have any justification.

Aw cr*p, he's gonna make it isn't he?

I've suddenly got a sinking feeling that $1.7 million was a carefully chosen total. Just enough to seem like a polling surge, but not enough to be an infeasible total to fundraise in a week and a half.

Wow, surprised this happens so early. Cory is a good guy and the best among the lower tier candidates.

I like Booker as a candidate and Senator, but, as someone into the behind the scenes workings of campaigns, something about his campaign manager Addisu Demissie seems so inauthentic. His seemingly first live stream during this make or break week came off as so passive aggressive and nauseating.

I think he might actually be the best suited to beat Trump.

Booker can beat Trump, but Biden grabbed all the money from Wallstreet and HOLLYWOOD from Harris and Booker and took money from Ukraine
