I actually love the demagoguery and martyrdom from the Sanders campaign! That kind of attitude will be needed to beat Trump's rhetoric.
Make one’s preferred candidate die to own the centrists.

This "once in a lifetime candidate" talking point is nonsense. Bernie will get nothing done as President. His plan to combat Republican obstruction by holding anti-McConnell rallies in KY is the most embarrassing thing I've ever heard.

Nobody will get anything done if they don't have majority in the senate and the house and even then, just ask Trump. Whole system is a sham, nonstop elections, contributions, media spinning and nothing gets done. In that sense it's better to elect someone who is ACTUALY different than the others, not just who pretends to be. So Warren will get something done with McConnell, in which world do you live in? Amount of hate towards Bernie for being honest just shows how much you deserve Trump.

Don’t forget that what the President won’t do is just as important as what the President will do.

I mean, while I don't disagree with your point about the system being the problem, I wouldn't say Bernie is being honest. Just like the others, he is pretending he can actually do something with a Republican majority in senate, which is just not true.

Bernie supporters have made 1.2M odd phone calls in the last 9 days which is an incredible number.

Also he has the least amount of maxed out donors. He has 1M individual donors & 2.5M+ donations & has the war chest of any candidate. He is also the most likely to over perform polls as he has polling great among less likely voters.

I am sure he will come back strong & can win this & be FDR II.

Wow, all that time and money wasted.

In six years, all these twenty-somethings will be thirty-somethings trying to scrub their social media of their embarrassing Bernie-supporter past and pretending they were never a part of this whole cultish mania.

All those millions of minutes wasted calling random voters to read off a talking points sheet.  All that money that could have gone towards a useful purpose instead going to Tad Devine's $800,000/mo salary, whatever David Sirota is grifting away, dramatically overpaying for ad spots because the campaign is horribly mismanaged, and of course blanketing the internet with more fundraising ads.  And that's just his campaign money.  All the money you gave to the Sanders Institute or Our Revolution or any of the PACs in the "Democratic Socialist" cottage industry?  That just went to line your heroes' pockets.

You guys need to learn that your big numbers aren't impressing anyone.  Yes, Bernie is more than capable of grifting money from young idealists by promising them the moon.  And he's the first candidate to get lucky and hire Revolution Messaging, who knew how to fully leverage social media and the internet for fundraising, giving him a multiplier effect.  Beto did the same thing.

He also locks people in by creating a toxic, cult-like culture where supporting him becomes your identity and the Democratic Party is part of a global conspiracy of corporate oligarchs to force you to pay back your student loans, flexing its enormous muscles through such sinister activities as having Donna Brazile voluntarily leak a debate question to the Clinton campaign.  That cult mentality is really what's raking him in the cash as these young kids have to keep donating more and more to affirm their identities.

All of that is completely orthogonal to his alleged goal of becoming president.  It just happens to be the same metric that his competitors are also running on.

So he'll campaign the same amount as everyone else rather than have 5 events a day?

Good! He has plenty of surrogates. He doesn't need to be everywhere, his health should come first.

JFC just look at that clip he's practically red, I just can't believe he's going on at this point. Having to scale back just as things are starting to heat up, he needs to put his ego aside and end this.

His wife does too (although less so), so I think it’s something about the lighting.

Yeah, its definitely the lighting. Not only is his wife also pink/purple, the entire scene looks a bit off-color.

He basically just says he's going to try doing two rallies a day instead of three or four. That's just common sense at this point, not much of a breaking news story.

Glad that Sanders isn't pushing himself too hard. It can take a while to recover completely from something like this.

Agreed RE: surrogates

Many of the Upper-Income Educated Whites jumped on the Warren Train or whatever trend they were on.... whatever.

Warren and other's hijacks Bernie's message now that they see the writing on the wall is cool.

As Middle-Aged adults we don't have automatic Monthly donations to the Bernie campaign because we expect him to win, we simply want to keep the Democratic Party Honest on key issues to working-class voters.

The message is more than simply the man.....

Are you seriously implying that Warren hasn't been about this from the beginning? She's been writing about the same issues as Bernie for a long period of time and has been campaigning on them since taking office. There's a reason she was tapped to head the CFPB. I like Bernie a lot but isn't like he's the only one who has been standing against inequality in this country.

I find the "Warren is copying Bernie and that is bad" complaint so baffling.

Haven't these same people been complaining for the last four years, especially so in 2016, that nobody else in the party is like Bernie? Hearing these same people now say that Warren is unoriginally (?) emphasizing the same issues and that is a problem is stunning. If Warren is an enemy here, then you don't have a movement large enough to order a pizza to the White House, let alone run the country.
