I've tried to be sensitive about this issue, but screw it.

The man is 78 years old. He's at risk for a laundry list of health conditions, that could damage him physically, not to mention his mind. Nothing is riskier to his health than racing around the country, in the freezing winter.

I don't say this as an opponent of Sen. Sanders. I say this as a student who's spent the last four years working in the field of human biology, and a grandson who has lost three grandparents, (each of whom are within years of Sanders) since 2014.

I wish Bernie a swift recovery, but I do hope he'll think about what he's doing.

I wish Bernie Sanders a speedy and healthy recovery.

However, he is just simply too old to be President. I'm not even saying this because I don't support Bernie.

He and Biden are just too old to be President and that's just my honest opinion.

Wishing him the best for a full recovery, but I think this only heightens the concern surrounding his fitness to serve as President...

I'd say Biden and Warren are too old also.  The three of them should drop out and have it be a Pete vs. Kamala vs. Yang race.

Additionally, I don't want to scaremonger, but we don't have the full details.

The surgery sounds like a minor procedure, but the chest pains reported yesterday mean this could rise to the level of a minor heart attack.

From a health point of view, Sanders should be fine, but the political implications would be worse than Clinton's pneumonia bout in 2016.

De-age.

Sad

I think he needs to drop out. Warren will carry a policy-oriented progressive mantle, and he can rest.

While stents for a blocked artery isn’t the yuuugest deal, most people don’t know that.  He’s in big trouble.

Probably drop out or ask Warren if he can be her VP.

If not, be an elder statesman.

I will not go that far

60 to 70 is an ok age range to me. I mean don't get me wrong I would definitely want someone younger but at least we have had presidents who have been elected at those ages and many have served 2 full terms.

when someone is over the age of 70
that is when I get worried and that is my biggest problem when it comes to 76 year old Biden or 78 year old Bernie.

The stress of this job is no joke
Eisenhower had many strokes while in office and Obama's hair went from dark black to grey by the time he left office

I hate to see what the stress of the office would do to someone like Bernie or Biden

Notice how the mainstream media is quick to jump on Sanders as too old, but they almost never mention how people like Biden, Pelosi, or Hoyer are just as old.

One of the chief criticisms Biden has faced is that he is too old and his mind is clearly going. The media probably hasn't pointed that out as often as they should, but I rarely heard people pointing out concerns about Bernie outside of simply stating the fact that he is 78.

well in fairness  Pelosi, or Hoyer are not running for president of the untied stakes
their ages would be a much bigger deal if they did. Same with Bernie
Nobody cared that he was a 76 old senator

But that changes when people start looking at his fitness for president

In the case of Biden I don't know know what you are talking about
the worry about Biden age is a big reason why he has lost support during this campaign

he has been mixing up he words more and Many people feel like he is losing it

Which would end with a Kamala victory, a tragedy for America.
