Politicians always have campaign posters with kids.

And Kurz's slogan on that poster is: "Someone who's down to earth. That's my Chancellor."

The poster has already been mocked though, with the kid on his back getting 50€ in cash afterwards from his ÖVP-grandmother for the ride.

And the Green poster is about the Ibiza scandal, where the guy in the background from the far-right FPÖ posed as someone with a Glock pistol and it's about the FPÖ's proposed corruption to a Russian oligarch. The Green poster reads: "Who would decency vote for ?"

SPO: okay to good, maybe too much focus on the climate
FPO: okay but good, could have been slightly more modern, but you get the message
Green: Interesting, but too dark
NEOS: Very boring
Pilz: Too grey, not modern enough
KPO: very good
Change: Very good as well

ÖVP is quite good. Not so much in the poster itself but on the slogan and campaign tactics. "Bring back our legitimate Chancellor: Sebastian Kurz" is a very good campaign strategy.

Best poster itself goes to Wandel though, surprisingly good for a tiny party!

SPO wins for most hilariously bad photoshop.  I get they wanted it to look like they were standing outside in the woods, but I can't figure out what's going on with the two dudes in the back - do those bodies really go with those heads?

Also, regarding the ÖVP poster, using children in campaign ads is populist. Personally I think that politicians kissing children in campaign are the worst. I would never trust someone like Kurz.

They want to show that way that they're the people's party. OVP is basically the party for rural Austria (together with FPO), while SPO dominates in the cities (as well as the other left), and NEOS.

The ÖVP folks may well say all these things without using children. Being a party that stands for "the people" does not necessarily imply resorting to sappy populism. It's a rather cheap ploy, really.  Politicians should be banned from getting near the children.
