The crucial states being Georgia x2, Arizona, Maine, Iowa, Colorado, Montana, and technically Alabama (though Jones is toast IMO).

With the new special election, a Veep from Georgia seems to make the most sense. The veep typically contributes a 2-3% boost in the state, and Georgia was +5 Trump in 2016. I'm not from Georgia so only Abrams comes to mind. That's not without risks--two women on the ticket, one who only served in a state house--but Abrams is a very capable politician.

What are your thoughts?

To win the senate, the 4 most likely seats are going to be CO, AZ, ME, and NC. Interestingly, there isnt really a trend of where these seats are, but 2 of the 4 are from the SunBelt(though one is Hispanic and the other is African American). Abrams is a good choice, as is Castro or a Democrat that has large ties with the Progressive White base in the urban areas or minorities.

Abrams has a lot of great things about her, but do we think she might be attacked for being underqualified?  She hasn't held a federal position or a governorship before.

She's gonna pick Buttigieg whom can win in Va,  Castro doesnt maximize her chances

And he can beat Mike Pence in a debate. Its not a matter of if Warren selects Buttigieg, its assumed she will pick hin

Before the debate does Pence wipe his hand after he shakes Buttigieg’s or does he refuse to even touch it?

Warren will win VA regardless of who the VP is. Though I would kill to see Buttigieg kick Pence’s ass in a debate.

I agree Castro is doing a pretty good Warren VP audition. Do you think if Warren remains weak among black voters throughout the primary, so much so that it kind of sticks to her and looks bad, that there'll be more pressure to pick a black VP?

Gotta be Stacey Abrams (due to the double Georgia treat), although Yang is a close second.
