I think a lot of what Jake says is in jest.  I can't speak for him, but I don't see a lot of real hate coming from him.  Some of his anti-black comments are over the line, but I don't think he's really serious about those either, and he'll probably one day regret saying stuff like that.

There are others who radiate far more hate toward those who don't agree with their positions than Jake does.  And I believe they are far more serious about it than he is.

Option 1, BTW.

I agree.  He also has a rebellious attitude toward authority figures, which I think is a good trait for a guy his age.  That precludes him from being a fascist, as some people say.
