Not only that, but she's going to be the first Hispanic mayor since the 1800s. Next month, she is also going to be the first Latina mayor of Tucson, making the city the largest one ever in America to have a Latina as mayor. I'm surprised that this hasn't happened sooner since Tucson is very liberal and has a large Hispanic population.
She has some good ideas like making the city carbon neutral and bolstering Tucson's aerospace and technology industries.
