Agreed. But it is worth noting that all they did was decline to offer an exemption to a law that has blocked hundreds of BDS activists from entering. Claiming that they're doing something new to target Omar and Tlaib based on their color, as many people are doing, is blatantly false.

The likes of James Trafficant never wanted to visit Israel, so there's no real point to compare.

Maybe because the group apoligized and retracted that article 6 years ago, and these congresswomen are safer with some sort if delegatiom instead of just showing up by themselves with no local support? They're not a violent group, actually their leader os a peace negotiator. I don't like this group based on what I'm reading, but they are tolerable and acceltable in this context to me. Ideally they find another group that is also non-violent and also ran by a peace keeper without the baggage. Like I said, that was 6 years ago and apologies and retractions were made. Trump and Netanyahu don't apologize for or detract anything.

That being said, as part of her visit to the region she was scheduled to meet with Arab-Israeli members of the Knesset along with Jewish-Israeli members of the Knesset.

Sounds to me like Netanyahu בנג'מין נתניהו is simply trying to create a fake issue to combat his decline of approvals and support among his minority coalition government ahead of the 9/17/19 Knesset Elections, where doing a cheap political stunt like this might help bank him support....

She's allowed to visit Israel. She was personally granted a humanitarian visa by the Travel Minister to visit her grandmother. She then rejected it because she wouldn't be allowed to use her trip to promote BDS.

The Star Of David is representative of both jews AND Israel, also Trump isn't jewish so the star in this context probably means Israel. COULD it be anti-semetic? Yes. Is it actually? Probably not and not proveable in the small chance that it is.
