Labor Party Endorsement Requests - August 2019 Elections

I will take a stab at it as well. I request the Labor party endorsement for Southern Senate Class II.

As Senator I try to do what I think is best for the region and in the course of that there are times when I have disagreed with and challenged Labor of course, but there have also been times where I have worked with, helped with improving or supported Labor originated bills that I think have benefited the region and the country as a whole.

A prime example is that we worked collaboratively to improve the Senate rules at the beginning of the session and as a result we have already surpassed all pre-reset records and most post-reset records in terms of bills passed and it is only the first part of August.

I request the Labor Party endorsement for Frémont First Minister.

During my tenure as First Minister, I have worked closely with Laborites to pass progressive reforms addressing health care, criminal justice reform, job discrimination, and more.  I have been a vocal advocate both regionally and nationally for protection of civil liberties as well as consumers, having successfully lobbied for the recently passed Mitchell Act as well as pushing for similar reforms in Frémont to hold police officers more accountable to the people they serve and limit potential for abuse.

I share many of the same goals as Labor, and as such I hope that I may earn the party's endorsement to serve for three more months as Frémont's chief executive.

I have been a loud voice for liberal causes. I have pushed for strict gun control, including a ban on assault weapons and gun licensing. I am firmly pro-choice and will pledge to defend the right to choose. I support an aggressive approach to climate change. I believe that Atlasia needs to completely phase out fossil fuels, and also impose regulations on methane. I also support subsidies for renewable energy like solar and wind. I also support the solar panel tax credit program.I support limited amnesty, and am a proud proponent of the DREAM Act. I have also been a longtime supporter of free trade, believing that tariffs, ultimately hurt the consumer, and do little good, in the long run. In terms of taxes, I favor a system with higher taxes, but in exchange, residents of high tax states can take out deductions for state and local taxes.
