Well, it looks like Colin has been kicked out of the Senate. We may not all agree on his politics, but he was a very good Senator all the same. Now, I am faced with trying to replace him. This task is one I feel that is best decided by the people of the Northeast. That is why I plan on holding a special election to replace him.

Now then, what date does everyone want me to hold the election? It will either be this coming weekend, or the following weekend. I personally like the following weekend, but that might be too long of a wait. It's up to you, really.

Secondly, if you wish to run in the special election, please inform me in this thread.

I vote for this weekend, mostly because I will be out of the country the next weekend.  Does anyone think I should run in the special election?  I kind of like being a placeholder to avoid problems with the position but if people think I could get more positive things done for the region as a Senator now that I've written an effective budget, I will consider doing so.

You must run.

I didn't think it needed to be put up for a vote.  The Constitutional setup of the position merely states that my job is create a sound budget, nothing about it having to pass.  And since all posts ceased in the topic even after checking again, I assumed it was accepted as sound.

On another note, I will run for Colin's seat in the Senate. Tongue

Good luck.

Well, we have to pass the budget for it to have any legality Smiley I will introduce it as a proposition

Unless there are any objections by midnight tonight, the election will be held this weekend. If this is the case, then I will be accepting candidacies only until Wednesday at midnight.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for the interim position. However, my campaign promise is that I will not run for reelection for the full term. Everyone knows where I stand on issues, and everyone knows where Fez stands. Just have the election this weekend.

Good luck, MAS. As a symbol of impartiality, I plan on voting for NOTA, even though I mean "All of the above" Smiley

Then write "All of the Above" on your ballot. I actually did that one time, though I believe at that point the election was already decided.

Thank you Governor, I ask for support from all Northeasterners, and I renew my campaign promise not to run for reelection to the full term.
