If I've done my math right, she turns 35 in October 2024. Given both Warren and Sanders will probably be too old by then, I think she would have a decent chance to scoop up the progressive wing of the D party for such a run, especially if the candidate who lost 2020 was Biden or a similar moderate type.

With the caveat that a zillion things could happen between now and then, yes I think >50% chance she would be an early front runner. But her support could also collapse easily.

Not sure if she'll run but I imagine she'll poll well.

She would have a shot in the primary as the frontrunner of the anti-establishment wing, but not enough will change in five years for her not to get completely wiped out in the general were she to get the nomination.

Yes she would absolutely.

Keep in mind that anybody who is 13 or older right now - or turning 13 between now and Halloween - will be old enough to vote by November 2024. Also keep in mind that many voters born in the 1930s and 1940s will sadly be passing away between now and then, bless their souls. Older demographics are generally much more likely to be Republicans.

Bernie, Biden, Warren will probably be too old. It will be progressives like Ocasio-Cortez and Gabbard versus people like Harris, Buttigieg, Yang, Klobuchar, Booker and some newer corporatist puppets as well. I RRALLY want Ilhan Omar to announce just to see everybody get triggered.

She's probably THE frontrunner for the nomination whether Trump or Biden wins. She's also almost inevitably a loser in the general, but that won't matter to her base.

You think the Republicans will have a condidate that could wipe the floor with AOC? Who? How? They're going to have the Trump supporters once again having a big influence over the Republican primary. The kind of Republican candidate that rejects Trumpism might not get to the general election.AOC would mop the floor with a Trumpist opponent.

I would much prefer JB Pritzker in 2024.

But AOC could be a great running mate. She is young and if JB Pritzker suddenly, god forbid, dies of heart failure due to the amount of work his heart has to work to pump through all that blubber she would be ready to lead.

I think there's a strong chance her 15 minutes will be over by then and the media will have moved on to some other shiny object.

Brown will be 71 and defending an extremely vulnerable Senate seat. 2020 was his window, he missed it.

As long as the new shiny object is another Bernie progressive, good things will be coming for this country.

AOC's closest parallel in American politics is probably Huey Long, which makes her both very beatable and very dangerous

She doesn't care that you hate and fear her. She will take her responsibility to be YOUR president just as seriously as her responsibility to be the liberals' president.

I won't be her subject if she was to get in. She's made clear she's allies with a man who wants me dead, so I don't intend to wait for her to decide my fate.

Not that she's likely to get in. Just like any sane Democrat could likely beat Steve King in a general, any sane Republican could likely beat AOC.

No. She won't be a presidential contender unless she becomes Senator...which is possible, but not by 2024.
