See the old (and highly recommended) science fiction story "The Masculinist Revolt" by William Tenn.  An amusing twist was that the Masculinist Party (which wanted to repeal the 19th) ran a female candidate, while the party of the status quo had a male candidate.

I doubt sexism would hurt a candidate that much in Utah; its racism why they turned heavily against Trump in 2016.

There is a Discord server I am on where someone who lives in UT-04 said that it seemed to them that the reason Mia Love always underperformed so much was always because of Mormon voters not liking her because of her gender, and never because of anyone not liking her because of her race.

Well, regardless, there'd still probably be a candidate running third-party as a "moral Republican," a-la McMullin, in which case said candidate would definitely be able to hold the GOP nominee to under 50% in UT.
