Voted gen x because Punk rock and alt. rock are the genres I listen to most.

Had to seriously consider the Silents, though. I think a lot of people voting aren't thinking and are forgetting that the members of the big 60's rock bands like the Beatles and Rolling Stones were silents, not boomers. You've also got great Jazzmen like Miles Davis and Coltrane.

Late Silents/early Boomers, Generation Jones and Gen X are all pretty close. Latter probably made the best American music though.
