They will go after moderate. They aren't competing for the same voters as crazy as that sounds.

Warren's walking a tightrope.  She has to win over Sanders supporters to get the nomination, but they're so fanatical in their worship of the old man that even the slightest criticism could cause the mob to turn on her.  Sanders, for his part, doesn't have the mental agility to spar with Warren--all he can do is shout and wag his finger.  I expect the two to play nice together.

The vast majority of the other people will be coming for them all night. There won’t be a chance to go after each other nor should they. They need to stay away from attacking each other until the fall debates.

I can see them both going after each other, but in a way to win over the other's followers.

They won't go after the moderates, but they should be prepared to defend themselves from them.

Probably not, I will be surprised if they do. Either of them will get targeted by a few of the other losers. I'm very disappointed. I wanted to see either Sanders vs Biden or Warren vs Biden (more so Warren), but it had to be the 1/3 chance that it wasn't either of those.

No.  Or at least Bernie and Warren will not attack each other directly.  But there may be a subtle game of 1-upmanship going on.  The casual viewer may not notice, but political junkies might.  As others have suggested, there is a good chance Bernie and Warren will be under fire from the lower-polling, more moderate candidates.  Those attacks probably WILL be obvious to the casual viewer.  (Will Hickenloser start his socialism rant again?)

While I'm not sure if they're going to go after moderates (at least directly, or exclusively them), the second part of this is 100% correct.

They are not competing for the same voters.  Poll after poll after poll has shown this for months now, and yet this myth continues to persist for some reason.

So they will not go after each other, at least not directly.  I agree with the above that there will be a subtle game of one-upmanship going on though.

The MSNBC mods were damn awful with their idiotic questions so I can only imagine how bad the CNN mods will be. It's going to be another case of the moderators attacking Sanders and Warren's plans as unworkable or unaffordable when they're clearly not, as every other industrialized nation in the world has them...

I hope not, I don't really want to see two 70-something year olds have sex on live TV.

The "moderates" will probably gang up on them. But Warren can help bring down Sanders by contrasting herself with him and how she is the more dynamic, thoughtful candidate of the two of them with a better idea of how to make the policies they mutually favor a reality. That can be done without attacking Sanders at all and risking backlash. It's what I hope happens, all while she fends off the desperate concern trolling by those flanking her.

You might see them discuss a minor disagreement or two but they won't attack each other.

Yeah, most likely this, actually.

No, but they will "go at" the American people with laughably bad ideas that make it seem like they're running for President of La-La Land. Trump is going to win these next couple debates like he won the first couple. Thanks guys!
