I think Lean R is a good rating for both Senate seats at this point.

Also, keep in mind that as a special election, the GA-SEN special will run on the special election jungle primary rules: every candidate regardless of party will run on the same ballot in November, with the top two advancing to a January 2021 runoff if nobody gets 50%.

I'm not surprised.  She clearly had her sights set on a rematch with Kemp in '22.
Which at this point she has no chance of winning.

If she were to run and lose in the primary, I agree.

Gov. Kemp is now taking job applications for the appointment to the seat.

Apparently, it's all about transparency.

Make of that what you will. I wonder if there will be televised job interviews for the finalists, that would be something.

The Governor's Office is actually listing the submissions online, so you can browse the resumes of those who wish to be considered.

State Sen. Jen Jordan (GA-SD-6, not to be confused with GA-6) is considering running for the seat. Also, I don't know if it was already mentioned, but current DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond is also "exploring his options".

On a side note, Thurmond, then Georgia Labor Commissioner, ran against Isakson in 2010: he lost 58-39.

On the Republican side, Doug Collins has expressed interest in running. I think a lot of the movement on the GOP side will depend on who Kemp appoints.

Michigan is the new Georgia. Or is it that Georgia is the new Michigan?

Jokes aside, former HHS Secretary and Congressman Tom Price has applied to be appointed to the Isakson seat:

The online application for the Kemp appointment closes Monday at 5pm. We're getting closer!
