I guess Warnock’s strategy if Loeffler is the one who gets through is to paint her as a phony. If there’s one thing America should be united on , it’s hating phonies.

She really wants to lose the runoff, doesn't she?

I was going to prefer Loeffler. Now, sigh....

It takes a special kind of crazy to not only believe in a globalist cabal, but to think that the wife of the NYSE Chair is on the outside of said cabal.

"A special kind of crazy" is the perfect description for Marjorie Taylor Greene.

It's funny how Loeffler was supposed to bring suburban white ladies back to the GOP but she will probably accelerate Dem trends more than Collins if she makes the runoff.

McSally won her House district twice at least. Loeffler won nothing but a nutjob's endorsement, and I sincerely hope both will be looking for a new job by January.

dems in georgia runoff if they make a serious effort. in 2008, most of the dems were happy with obama's victory and didnt really try to contest the runoff. this time you may not see the same mistake

Loeffler and Collins only raised $2M each. Warnock raised $13-14M and Ossoff $21M. Loeffler self funds but they are in for trouble whoever gets thru to that runoff.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Collins and Loeffler both jockeyed for Marjorie Taylor Greene's support.

Which is awfully cynical (and just awful in general), but also seems like very poor politics? Taylor Greene represents all the worst elements of the modern GOP that suburban voters seem to be fleeing.

This is a jungle primary and there are far more swing voters within the intra-party fight than outside of it (especially in a state as polarised as Georgia). If Greene holds some sway with the base, it's smart for Republican candidates to court her support.

The fact that either of them coveted the endorsement of someone who isn't even elected yet and who is totally crazy is hilarious. Loeffler is probably counting on Northwest Georgia getting her into the runoff as Collins will likely do best in his Northeast Georgia district while Middle and South Georgia could go either way.

I guess they're just accepting that their new base is lunatic conspiracy theorists in rural areas.

There hasn't been a split party result from two Senate races held at the same time in the same state since 1966. I found these in the decade before that.

Were either of those runoff elections? Theoretically, if Ossoff gets 50%+ but Warnock doesn't, Loeffler might be at an advantage in January.

I don't know. She REALLY sucks as a candidate. Much worse than Saxby, that's for sure.

Loeffler is turning her runoff election (assuming she makes it) into 2020's version of the Roy Moore senate race. It will basically be a referendum on QAnon.
