Petition to Make USGD Thread More Manageable

So this thread is and has always been a mess....

Concept would be to split it into sub-threads regarding themes / topics:

Would be easy to create broad categories that align with common US Political Themes such as:

Economy
Immigration
Racism / African American Population / Voting Rights
Foreign Policy
Environment
Supreme Court Decisions
LGBTQ
Abortion / Reproductive Rights
Hot Gvt / Media Political Topics as Part of News Cycle
Misc Scandals

ok---- not trying to create a subthread board, but hell this place is virtually unreadable, without at least trying to cluster similar style topics into at least a 6-12 broad-banded categories....

In all honesty adding another subthread board similar to the election or general politics one is probably the best route to go, otherwise I see a scenario where we have a ton of thousand-page bloated megathreads with 50 different conversations/debates going on at once.

All the Supreme Court stuff can go to the Constitution and Law board.

I would like to see a board for US social trends & issue polling, separate from the day-to-day news cycle.

Id kind of hope for better categories if this is implemented since I read stuff posted here about those topics but doubt id ever click on half those subfolders were they divided.
