A lot of people have been acting like children throughout this ordeal - it is quite sad to see. It is a disgrace that a flag representing the Confederacy won the vote. The EO issued by the president is also completely out of line and was an inappropriate overreaction that just made the situation worse.

This referendum vote isn't even binding. The Chamber still has to adopt it. Rather than participate in these childish behaviors and further sink the dignity of this game, I will be contacting each Southern Delegate urging them not to adopt this flag, and in the event they do and the Governor signs, I will formulate a petition to call a referendum on the legislation. We have processes in place to fight this.

We are supposed to be creating a more welcoming Atlasia - adopting a flag that symbolizes the Confederacy, and the subsequent actions that followed this morning, do not adhere to that mission.  Common sense (and cooler heads) will hopefully prevail here.

Time for Frémont to invade, I guess! The stars and bars flying above Kansas is an unacceptable outcome.

You'd think someone would be able to come up with a flag with no confederate symbolism at all, but apparently not.

I second these remarks and frankly this tit for tat is not healthy nor helpful for Atlasia.

There were plenty of opportunities for someone to submit a flag design. If people are too lazy to pay attention and too lazy to create their own when the South was accepting submissions, they have no room to complain.

Time for Frémont to invade, I guess! The stars and bars flying above Kansas is an unacceptable outcome.

1) The winning design isn't the stars and bars.
2) The winning design isn't the flag of the south currently.
3) Calling for Invasion over the result of a referendum doesn't strike one as being a mature action for a former president of Atlasia.
4) The President made reference to mobilizing the national guard if option one (the most Stars and Bars like flag) wasn't chosen.

Indeed, the subjugation of the free state of Kansas by the rule of the same border ruffians and Southern imperialists who sacked Lawrence in 1856 is an awful injustice regardless of what banner the Chamber of Delegates sees fit to adopt. The late referendum merely makes the issue perfectly plain. Wink

The ironic part that Muaddib won't get is that you helped draft the Constitution that gave the South KS. Tongue

Though it was Tmth that pushed for it in the Con-con.

The sad thing is that even under this map Fremont is probably still the smallest and least active region.

Would be so bad if it weren't for the Mountain Top Removal Mining.

You should keep it. Moving Kansas to Fremont makes the map look awful. Tongue
