Am I the only one who thought Ryan did decently? I don’t even like him, but he was leaps and bounds better than his disastrous performance in the first debate.

He went from very disastrous to disastrous.

I really like Klobuchar, but she seems so nervous every time I've heard her talk. Not just tonight.

Yeah, it was kind of weird. At some points, it looked like she was about to cry.

That would go to Warren, actually.

Does anyone else get tired of people on these shows pretending to give their "A+" level insight on which voters Sanders and Warren are going after then prove that they don't know anything at all about the dynamic? Just about the only thing that both of the candidates' current coalitions have in common is the high share of "very liberal/progressive" voters.

As I pointed out before, Sanders does better with lower-class voters, white and non-white, and without college degrees. Warren does better with college-educated whites with higher incomes. I mean is it that hard to not say that they're competing for different voters at the moment?

"at the moment" is the key phrase here. At some point, to beat Biden, one will have to win over the supporters of the other.

I actually said the same thing about her looking like she was about to cry in a post here a couple months ago. I'm glad someone else picked up on that and it's not just me.

Hopefully the field is narrowed down to less than ten candidates by September. The debate was bad to watch because each candidate gets interrupted all the time. Too many people are in the race who have zero chance of winning. As of now, I only consider Biden, Bernie, Liz, Kamala, Mayor Pete and probably Booker as legitimate contenders. The rest should drop out.

I think they have it still split into 2 nights even if we get down to 10, which would be interesting (at least for September)

10 is guaranteed for September.

It could also be 11, if Gabbard does really well tonight and gets 3 more polls and a donor surge.

Steyrer is unlikely, because as a billionaire he will never get the 130K donors in time.

Can't he just put out an email that says "donate $1 to my campaign, and I'll send you $2!"

Or "donate to my campaign for a chance to win $50,000!"

Or "for every dollar donated to my campaign, I will donate ten dollars to charity!"

I've honestly thought he should do this. I think Yang got in trouble for offering a random donor $1000, but I would think admitting all your donations are going to charity would not run afoul of any laws. Gravel basically did this.

She was emotional about a couple of topics she really cares about. To me it was wonderful to see the humanity and passion really shine through her. We could need that in more politicians too.

Will Yang be wearing a tie for the first time during his campaign tonight?

https://publish.twitter.com/?query=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2FAndrewYang%2Fstatus%2F1156623769529671680&widget=Tweet

To be honest, he looks really ridiculous with a tie, so for the grace of the Yang Gang and other debate watchers, I hope not. Tongue He said it was just for the walk through anyways, phewhhh...

CNN now has former Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum as Political Commentator. They're going down the Full Socialist Route. Unbelievable!

Really? So what're Rick Santorum and Chris Christie doing there?

And why all the generous amount of time to Delaney, and the constant cut-offs for Sanders and Warren?

Seems to me Gillum's just their Fox News Liberal...I mean, now that Fox News doesn't even have those anymore.

Gillum is as much as Socialist as Sanders is. Gillum ran on Bernies Platform during his Run for Governor in 2018 and so did Stacey Abrams and both failed big time.

Can't believe that CNN who I still admire a lot for their News Coverage put themselves in that Position.

Guys like Bakari Sellers, Mr "Whitelash" Van Jones (He called Trumps Victory in 2018 a Whitelash), Don Lemon or Amanda Carperter should be released of their contracts and then taken in custody on what they did over the years.

You sound like someone who doesn't think Trump is racist enough. Did you walk in the Charlottesville torch march as well?

I didn't say that he isn't one. However it looks like very much like 2016 when the liberal Media told every single Voter in the Country whom to vote for. CNN has become a liberal clustercrap News Organisation.

CNN was founded by Ted Turner, a humanitarian and philantropist. Of course it will always support a liberal world order where the emphasis is on the greater good for as many people as possible. That has always been and will always be the philosophy of the network. Thank God for that.

(I must say with the exception of the 2015-16 campaign cycle when it for some odd, inexplicable reason turned into the Trump Propaganda Channel, trademarked TPC.)

What's odd or inexplicable about it?  The owners of CNN, the anchors, pretty much anybody of any real pull at the network stand to benefit bigly if Republicans win.

Except in the event that only state television will be allowed under a Trump dictatorship. I'm sure that if Trump could unilateral revoke the first amendment on free speech, he would do so in a heartbeat. Too bad for him that even Fox News doesn't support him on this issue.
