My guess is that Reddit was reluctant to do so earlier because of all the advertising revenue it brought in, and only took the plunge because of pressure from the advertisers themselves.

They've been breaking numerous rules for a long time now, so I don't see how anyone can argue this isn't appropriate.

It means that you can only view the subreddit if you specifically look it up and click through an explicit warning that you want to view it. Like this.

If you don't do it, then it won't show up in searches and users' posting histories. You can effectively pretend it doesn't exist. It's like the ignore option here except for a whole forum instead of a poster, and you have to actually opt in and take the forum off ignore instead of putting it on ignore.

It's all part of the Democrat multi-pronged attack on free speech across numerous internet platforms.  Reddit is not the only platform that experienced pressure to remove Donald Trump content, and they won't be the last.  Democrats lost the debate so they want to completely cut off the debate.  They want to cut off lines of communication and information between Donald Trump supporters.  This is how they intend to do it.  They'll lie to you by advocating removal due to violations of rules, but we all know that Democrats break the same rules at three times the rate.
