After tonight, it's Beto's turn to sweat. Maybe he can make Cornyn sweat even more with a special announcement?

Hey man at least Bullock has held two different statewide offices and has been a successful governor in a reddish state.

Henry Cuellar is your best bet, Democrats. A very moderate Hispanic Democrat could perhaps even break 70% of the Hispanic vote in Texas - enough to best Cornyn.

What? didn't Beto win the Hispanic vote 71-29?

Good. If you aren't sweating, then your body isn't able to cool itself, which is a sign of a condition called anhidrosis, or hypohidrosis, in which case Cornyn should see a doctor.

I meant to say 70%, which would basically guarantee the election. Beto hit low-to-mid 60s - 63 or 64, IIRC. Someone like Cuellar could probably take above 35% of the white vote, and that, combined with getting about 75% of the non-white vote, would be enough to win by 3 percent or more.

It is important to note that such numbers aren’t sustainable. I’d be very surprised if whites and Hispanics in Texas don’t vote something like 60-40 or less for their party, within the next decade or so. Something like a Buttigieg/Castro ticket would really ensure that the youth in Texas turn out, though, so for that election, it is possible.

Cornyn’s lost a lot of power in his state, but he shouldn’t be underestimated by anyone. He can win competitive elections, and this election will show us a lot as to how Texans will likely vote in presidential years in the future.

Cuellar would be a terrible candidate, lmfao.
