A few days ago i stopped at Macdonalds down by the interstate and I ordered a coke and they gave me this stupid paper cup and a paper straw and I was like that is bogus I like the plastic stuff why did they change it also the paper cup has less liquid so I feel like I got cheated on coke cola which is not cool at all.

Anyway do you really think that it is worth giving up plastic to save the environment because i think the environment is fine and MacDonalds is just afraid because the lamestream media.

I've never used a paper straw but it sounds like a piece of garbage.

Why are straws even a necessity? Is it really that hard to raise a cup those extra three inches to your mouth?

Are paper straws even a thing?

That sounds about as useful as one-ply toilet paper.

Most would consider them a necessity for a milkshake.

People who support banning plastic straws are dumb and should reduce the amount of beef that they eat.

Note: I love steak and I am not a vegan.

They don't sound any more environmentally friendly to me, and the fact that we are focusing so much on straws really isn't a good thing. It is a distraction.

probably worse.  It gives people who don't care about the environment an easy thing to attack.  Did you know that the "science" these straw bans are based on was done by a child that called a couple of the "top" straw manufactures and then did some bad extrapolation?

It's your state kiddo. [Begrudgingly still mine on some level]

Anyway, the correct...but technically more costly solution to getting rid of plastic would've been to upgrade to metal.
